With my band, the challenge is playing with lots of energy a low volume level. Sometimes I have to play so soft that my old drums started to sound like cardboard boxes. Not true with Allegra's! These drums have a wider dynamic range, clearer tone and better response than any drums I've ever played. My new maple hoop snare has that old sound I've tried to find for years and the drums look as good as they sound.
